SEB Foundation Orphanage at Egyam

 On the 2nd of May, 2020, the leaders and members of SEB Foundation made a donation to the Word Alive Children’s Home at Essiama, in the Ellembele district in Western Region.

The Foundation presented items such as sixty bottles of alcohol based hand sanitizers, two big Veronica buckets, protective nose masks for both children and adults, twelve detergents,two big sized dustbins,air fresheners, one industrial mop bucket and mop stick, two household mopbuckets and mop sticks, nine packs of toilet rolls, ten bottles of liquid soap, five  gallons of parazone (bleach),ten leather covered students mattresses, fifteen packs of sanitary pads, fifteen tooth brushes, fifty cups and spoons, clothing, shoes, assorted drinks and a cash donation of GHC 300.00 to the home. These items were presented by the founder, Mr Sebastian Blay, Mr Lord Cudjoe and Mr Augustine Blay on behalf of the foundation. Mr Lord Cudjoe, who coordinated the event explained that this was done to support and help our siblings who seem vulnerable in the society in this crucial time of Corona Virus pandemic. He said, “This is SEB Foundation’s widow’s might to aid the home in these crucial times”.

The director of the children’s home, Mr Maxwell Blay, expressed immense gratitude to the Foundation and its stakeholders for the good gesture done them. He also assured us that the items will be put to rightful use. “These shall be used to fend for these children and not any other person”, he stated.

The foundation members also took the opportunity to interact with the children at the home and educate them on how to put on protective nose masks and apply hand sanitizers well.
